ThE Back Bar . . .
Upon entering into the world of The Fat Lady, it’s hard not to immediately notice that towering back bar, just begging you to pull up a stool, sip on a cocktail and ask the bow tie clad bartender if that register actually works. And, YES, it does!
Purchased in the 60’s as a focal point to adorn the back bar, beneath its hand carved arches, this National register, build in 1912, is fully operational and kept bright & shiny by the love {brass polish & elbow grease} of a few particular family members!
The cross-cut oak bar, originally made its way to San Francisco by sea from back East, just to make the shorter {and most significant if we do say so ourselves} trip across the bay from Mike’s Pool Hall in North Beach to The Fat Lady in 1969.
